I first started noticing Karla’s signs around 2021 on my daily drive, and they caught my eye especially because of the ominous “24 hour recorded messages” line. I started seeing them more often, and they became somewhat of an inside joke with my close friends and family. Then suddenly, within the past year i’ve noticed someone (or multiple someone’s) have been vandalizing her signs to make jokes like Karla Buys Bodies, Karla Buys Blouses, Karla Steals Houses, Karla Buys Horses, etc. I’m so fascinated in this. I’m not sure quite why, but I think in my head i’m imaging a past angry customer who hired Karla as a realtor and is now seeking revenge on her signs. or maybe… maybe vandalizing signs its just funny.
