"Mixed Signals" - video

Abstract Documentary Video

“Mixed Signals” is video piece about existing patterns; inspired by the works of artists Hollis Frampton and Stan Brakhage. I took screenshots of Craigslist missed connection posts from the Portland area and arranged them in a timed sequence of shots following the fibonacci sequence of 1,1,2,3, and 5 seconds. When arranging the posts into a longer narrative, the title of the piece Mixed Signals is how I see all of the different missed connection posts relating to each other; metaphorical mixed signals of communication.
